St. Patrick’s Day Storytime, Tech Class, Book Club, Writers Forum, Craft Workshops

The Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries (FFCPL) announces a week filled with creativity, connection, and community at the Eastpoint and Carrabelle Branches of the Franklin County Public Libraries through their popular Program Series. Library programs are free and open to the public with no library card required.
St. Patrick’s Day Storytime will be held on Monday, March 16 at 1:30 PM at the Eastpoint Branch. At this magical St. Patrick’s Day celebration, kids will enjoy a storytime featuring Jamie O’Rourke & the Big Potato: An Irish Folktale by Tomie DePaola, which will be brought to life with Novel Effect soundscapes. After the story, children can enjoy a fun St. Patrick’s Day activity to keep the luck of the Irish going! This session is perfect for preschool & early elementary ages and all families are welcome.
A Tech Class is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17 at 10:30 AM at the Eastpoint Branch. This hands-on tech class helps participants build digital confidence on smartphones, tablets and laptops. Patrons can get help with social media questions (Facebook, Instagram), email setup and password help, downloading apps safely, library apps, digital resources, and privacy and scam awareness basics. Registration is encouraged.
The Writer’s Forum meets on Wednesday, March 18 at 1 PM at the Eastpoint Branch. Attendees are welcome to share their work, get inspired, and connect with fellow writers. Writers of all genres and experience levels are invited.
A Pipe Cleaner Flowers craft workshop will take place on Friday, March 20 at 12:30 PM at the Carrabelle Branch. At this workshop, guests will create pipe cleaner flowers, a fun and easy craft that allows for endless creativity! This easy hands-on program will be provided in a fun, welcoming setting.
DIY Windchimes, a hands-on craft program where patrons can design and create their very own wind chime using colorful pony beads and other decorative materials. Guests can mix, match, and pattern beads to create something bright, bold, and unique. The program will be offered on Friday, March 20 at 2:00 PM at the Eastpoint Branch.
