Chinese New Year, Tech Class, Writer’s Forum, Adult Craft, Teen Video Game Session, and Souper Celebration
The Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries (FFCPL) announces a week filled with creativity, connection, and community at the Eastpoint and Carrabelle Branches of the Franklin County Public Libraries through their popular Program Series. All library programs are free and open to the public with no library card required.
A Chinese Lunar New Year Storytime & Activity will be held on Monday, February 16 at 1:30pm at the Eastpoint Branch. This program celebrates the Year of the Dragon with a festive storytime full of sound, color, and creativity. Guests will experience a beautifully illustrated, interactive eBook on the Smart Board, brought to life with immersive sound effects from Novel Effect. After the story, children can enjoy a hands‑on craft activity of all ages inspired by Lunar New Year traditions.
A Tech Class will be offered on Tuesday, February 17 at 10:30 AM at the Eastpoint Branch. This hands-on tech class helps participants build digital confidence and learn how to get things done online. Registration is encouraged.
The Writer’s Forum meets on Wednesday, February 18 at 1 PM at the Eastpoint Branch. Attendees are welcome to share their work, get inspired, and connect with fellow writers. Writers of all genres and experience levels are invited.
Adult Crafternoon: Hanging Hand Towel takes place on Thursday, February 19 at 2:30 PM at the Carrabelle Branch. Guests will sew a hand towel to a potholder at an easy, relaxed hands-on lesson with a sewing machine. Open to adults of all skill levels.
A Video Game Hour will be held on Friday, February 20 at 4:30 PM at the Carrabelle Branch. Teens and tweens are invited to unwind and compete on the Nintendo Switch.
The Souper Celebration: Soup, Bread & Book Sale happens Saturday, February 21 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Carrabelle Branch. Visitors can enjoy live music and artisan displays while browsing locally made soups, breads along with used books.
