Temporary Museum Closure Notice
August 11 @ 8:00 am - August 12 @ 5:00 pm

The Carrabelle History Museum will be temporarily closed through Tuesday, August 11, as we continue to mourn the passing of our much-loved Director, Tamara Bibb Allen. We plan to reopen on Wednesday, August 12.
Tamara devoted more than 20 years to preserving Carrabelle’s history and welcoming visitors from around the world. Her absence leaves an enormous void, and we appreciate the kindness, patience, and support our community has shown during this difficult time.
As we move forward, the museum is seeking volunteer greeters and docents to help us continue Tamara’s legacy of sharing Carrabelle’s rich history. Volunteers greet visitors, answer basic questions, and help create the warm, welcoming atmosphere that Tamara cherished. Training will be provided, and even a few hours a month can make a meaningful difference.
If you have an interest in local history and would like to help keep the Carrabelle History Museum open and thriving, please contact us to learn more about volunteer opportunities at CarrabelleHistoryMuseum@gmail.com or leave a message at our office (850) 697-2141.
Thank you for your understanding, your compassion, and your continued support during this difficult time.
Add your event to our calendar.
