Riverpalooza

On Saturday May 17, 2025 Apalachicola RIverkeeper will host its second annual RIverpalooza event in Apalachicola, FL.  Riverpalooza begins with a community coastal clean up at 8:00AM EST, with Apalachicola RIverkeeper staff and volunteers collecting trash in and around the Apalachicola River and Bay by boat, bike or on foot.  After the cleanup, participants are invited to come to The Apalachicola Yacht Club at 12:00PM EST for an evening of music, food and a raffle to win a tandem kayak and trailer. A $10 donation at the door is encouraged. Participants in the cleanup will receive free raffle tickets. Locally produced oysters will be provided by Water is Life Oysters. Guest speaker will be Josh McLawhorn, director of the award winning documentary Unfiltered: The Truth about Oysters.  Music will be provided by Tommy Cooper, The Ukulilies, Funky Taters, Clayton Mathis, and Chris Matechik.
