Art Workshop: Charlie Hunter

Renowned Plein Air Artist Charlie Hunter will host a three day Plein Air painting workshop Feb. 6-8 at Apalachicola’s Center for History, Culture and Art.  Hunter will demonstrate his signature method of using water-mixable oils and 19th Century reductive techniques. Hunter’s program will involve daily demos and plenty of time for painting;  some simple, yet invaluable tools for accurate rendering will be reviewed.  There will be discussion and mutually-supportive critique sessions at the end of each day’s painting Charlie Hunter lives and works in Bellows Falls, Vermont. He holds a degree in art from Yale University. He has worked as a graphic designer creating tour posters for scores of rock bands ranging from Jerry Garcia to bob Dylan, Ramones to The Clash, was a music manager for a dozen years and now exhibits at museums and galleries across the US.  Hunter has been profiled in ARTSCOPE, VERMONT LIFE, RAILWAY HERITAGE and PLEIN AIR MAGAZINE.  www.hunter-studio.com Class Cost, $375 per student, $190 deposit due at registration.  Paypal or check payable to Apalachicola School of Art.  Please mail your deposit to: Apalachicola School of Art, PO Box 86, Apalachicola, Florida 32329
