Renowned Plein Air Artist Charlie Hunter will host a three day Plein Air painting workshop Feb. 6-8 at Apalachicola’s Center for History, Culture and Art. Hunter will demonstrate his signature method of using water-mixable oils and 19th Century reductive techniques. Hunter’s program will involve daily demos and plenty of time for painting; some simple, yet invaluable tools for accurate rendering will be reviewed. There will be discussion and mutually-supportive critique sessions at the end of each day’s painting Charlie Hunter lives and works in Bellows Falls, Vermont. He holds a degree in art from Yale University. He has worked as a graphic designer creating tour posters for scores of rock bands ranging from Jerry Garcia to bob Dylan, Ramones to The Clash, was a music manager for a dozen years and now exhibits at museums and galleries across the US.
