Pen to Paper Series: Dale Cox CANCELLED

The Franklin County Public Libraries continues its popular writers’ series entitled, “Pen to Paper” with another interesting program scheduled for Monday, April 3 at 2:00 pm at the Carrabelle Branch Library. This session will feature noted historian and author, Dale Cox speaking on his experience writing local historical non-fiction. This is one of Dale’s last public speaking appearances. Reservations are encouraged for this session as seating is limited.

Dale Cox, a Southern writer and historian, is the author of more than one dozen books on Southern history and culture including one about the famous Franklin County site entitled, “The Fort at Prospect Bluff: History of the Negro Fort on the Apalachicola River” as well as “The Battle of Natural Bridge, Florida: The Confederate Defense of Tallahassee” about the battle near the St. Marks River. His acclaimed Civil War study – “The Battle of Marianna, Florida” – was named best in its category by Civil War Books & Authors. Cox has won numerous awards and has been named to the prestigious Bonnie Blue Society for Southern writers.

The Carrabelle Branch Library is located at 311 St. James Avenue (Hwy 98), Carrabelle, FL. These friendly and informal sessions are a chance to meet these local authors and ask questions about their experiences. Refreshments will be served.
