Wednesday, May 8 – Matt Gardi hosts as BS Open Mic rolls from 5-7pm. Please note the 5pm start time, and the 7pm end time for Open Mic performers as we have a Spotlight on the Mic scheduled from 7-8ish featuring Bob Gorecki. Spotlights are our way of allowing some artists to play for longer than the normally allotted 3 or 4 songs of Open Mic. As always tips for our Open Mic performers go to support local charities, this week we are raising funds for the Elder Care Community Council, so come sing a song, do a dance, tell a joke and support developing musicians!
Thursday, May 9 – Matt Law and Ron Merritt are coming into town as we continue to make Thursdays the New Fridays for a show from 6-9pm! These guys can put on a show from blues, to old classics such as Dylan and Robert Earl Keen, with a smattering of just about everything in between, but always with a curb appeal for every generation. Rumor has it there may be a Marc Grove sighting, joining in on bass as well.
Friday, May 10 – Garnet & Soul join us from 7-10pm, as fabulous female vocalist Mary Ann Hoffman leads the band through an evening of tunes that range from jazzy and sultry to funky and soulful! With powerful energy, Garnet & Soul always creates a musician centric environment that captivates the audience and gets the joint jumping. There was a reason we had Mary Ann and the boys put on a show for this past New Year’s eve and we get to enjoy it again!
Saturday, May 11 – Savanna Leigh Bassett returns for a show from 3-5:30pm. Savanna, another frequent flying female to grace our stage, puts on a high energy show of contemporary, and pop country with a helping of well composed originals. Then, female lead vocalist Susan Solburg leads Wakulla Rising in one of their backwoods swamp funk sessions of downhome tunes from 6:30-10pm. Few bands can put on such a masterful show with so much talent on one stage, so expect a fun night of dancing and groovin’!
Sunday, May 12 – Happy Mother’s Day!!! Bring Mama out for a day of some of the best live music… starting with another phenomenal female in the form of Jenny Odom who puts on a show from 3-5pm. Jenny is home grown talent with a voice that captures the attention of any crowd, and a well chosen set lists of some of your favorite americana as well as contemporary female performers. Then, John Sutton returns for an evening performance from 5-8pm. Many of you may have recently been introduced to John at last month’s battle in the Bowery at which he took on the renowned Bo Spring in a musical match up that will go down in history. John brings a high energy performance with incredible guitar skills, vocals and ear catching originals. Bring Mama, heck bring the whole family and make it out for what will surely be a great day of live music.
See you at the show!
