Business and travel information for Apalachicola, St. George Island and Eastpoint Florida
Just a couple of weeks left before Bowery Station goes on summer vacation in August, so we have brought in some of your favorites for the coming weeks…
Let’s take a gander at what we have goin’…..
Wednesday, July 18 – BS Open Mic rocks from 6-8ish. And… The Dave and Christy Cerrato double down continues. As most of you know, our Open Mic makes for a fun evening of a variety of talent giving their all on stage. And as many of you know, the tips for the performers on stage always go to a charity. Dave and Christy have generously offered to match all the performer tips for the remaining Open Mics in July. We have been raising money for the victims of the Eastpoint Fire, and thus far have done quite well. During the last two Open Mics, generous patrons have thrown $1030 into the performer tip buckets. There are two additional weeks, so come on out and play, and if so inclined toss a dollar or two in the bucket for a great cause.
Thursday, July 19 – Somebody say “Awwww, Sh**!” as Johnny Barbato returns for a show from 6-9pm. Johnny has seen a series of unfortunate circumstances that have forced him to cancel a few shows, so he is anxious to come light up Apalachicola as we continue to make Thursdays the New Fridays! We are just as anxious to get Johnny back on the BS stage as he has been arduously consumed with building his own venue in Alabama that we have affectionately dubbed..”BS West!” Barbato back in the Bowery…Badabing!
Friday, July 20 – Brandi Adams returns for an afternoon show from 4-6pm. Brandi is a fast rising artist in the southeast with an incredible voice and gifted guitar. Her musical talent is eclipsed by her thoughtful compositions, as her songwriting skills capture the attention of her audiences. Then, get your rock n’ roll boots on, as Southern Flood is bringing their hard hitting show back in for a Friday night from 7-10pm. The gang always puts on a great show, adding new material while playing many of your favorites. The crowd always gets up and dances when the flood comes rolling in!
Saturday, July 21 – Susan David joins us for an afternoon show from 3:30-5:30pm. Susan already has a great collection of salty americana originals, but she is anxious to showcase the songs off her latest CD, and you will love them! Susan’s songs are frequent flyers on Oyster Radio for a good reason, so come on out for a show that Saturday afternoons in Apalach are built for. Then, back by popular demand, Six String South is set to light up your Saturday night from 6:30-9:30pm. Great guitar licks and vocals carry us through a set list of rock, blues and good ol’ country. These guys put on a driving show that everyone sings along with, as they raise the rafters on a Saturday night in Apalachicola.
Again, thanks to all of you live music fans that come on out and support live music at Bowery Station as we continue to strive to bring in a wide variety of artists, genres and energy levels for your enjoyment. We can’t do it without you!
See you at the show…stay cool!
