Bowery Station Music Schedule (April 17 – 21)
April 17 @ 3:00 pm - April 21 @ 8:00 pm
What an honor to have Blues legend Brody Buster wrap up last week, we will do our best to get him back when his travels allow…he’s thinking perhaps November…
But that doesn’t mean that we still don’t have an action packed week of the best live music coming down the pike…. check this one out….
Wednesday, April 17 – Matt Gardi hosts as BS Open Mic rolls from 5-7pm. Please note the 5pm start time, and the 7pm end time for Open Mic performers as we have a Spotlight on the Mic scheduled from 7-9pm featuring Josh Norman. Spotlights are our way of allowing some artists to play for longer than the normally allotted 3 or 4 songs of Open Mic. Josh has been a rising star at Open Mic and we are pushing his limits to try and get a 2 hour show under his belt, so this should be a real treat. As always tips for our Open Mic performers go to support local charities, this week we are raising funds for the Friends of the St. Vincent Island National Wildlife Refuge, in anticipation of our fundraiser scheduled on Sunday, April 28, a Jimmy Buffett Tribute featuring Sticky Too!
Thursday, April 18 – Singer/Songwriter George Maddox joins us for a show from 6-9pm. George plays a great mix of originals and covers, finding a home between country, americana and even a little southern rock. George loves to share his love of the Forgotten Coast within his songs and is another one of those artists that help create a musician centric environment as we continue to make Thursdays the New Fridays.
Friday, April 19 – We start the day with the debut of Brad Foutch from 3-6pm. Brad is an extraordinary performer that can light up a stage with his amazingly energetic guitar and heartfelt vocals. We had the pleasure to catch one of his shows at Fathoms a few months ago, and knew he would be a great asset to the Bowery Station stage. Bard will surely light up a Friday afternoon in Apalach. Then, Few Miles South returns for a Friday night from 7-10pm. “Few Miles South is bringing back that classic country sound and honky-tonk atmosphere” (Skope Magazine). Created by south GA raised Blake English and Los Angeles native Tori Lund, fans of traditional country twang, pedal steel guitar and honest story telling are in for a treat. Tori and the gang have been packing Bowery Station with their ever increasing local fan base from as far as Tally and Panama City… so the proverbial “get a seat early” warning will be applied.
Saturday, April 20 – Bill Pandolfi and Wayne Britt come into town for one of their signature duo performances from 2:30-5:30pm. Bill and Wayne can cover just about any genre, and both can make their guitars sing as they love getting on stage and sharing their talents. Then, the Blue Begonias join us for a debut show from 6:30-10pm. The Blue Begonias is a Grateful Dead tribute band based in Tallahassee, Florida. Featuring Mickey Abraham (Belle and the Band), Chris Skene (Revival), Brian Durham (the New 76ers), Reo Morris (Fungle Junk, Little Band in the Sky), and David Mendelsohn. All of these musicians stand tall on their own in terms of talent and performance, it will be an honor to have them join us collectively as the Blue Begonias as they pay tribute to the Dead …. on April 20th no less.
Sunday, April 21 – .Boo Radley joins us for a show from 5-8pm! One of the finest duos to play the Southeast, Patty and Michael join us from Nashville as they combine their voices for intense harmonies accompanied by Michael’s incredible guitar arrangements for a performance of their own brand of Americana. A primarily original show that fans have come to love, this will make for a fantastic Sunday evening for any original live music enthusiast!
