George E. Weems Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital that provides vital health care services to the Franklin County community and its visitors.
ER & Hospitalized Care
The hospital's dedicated emergency department is open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. Radiology and laboratory services are in close proximity to the ER to allow for direct access to critical diagnostic reports in an emergency situation.
The residency trained, board certified physicians who attend the ER, also serve as hospitalists for in-patient hospital care. When a patient needs a little more attention for acute, medical conditions, this physician consistency provides a smooth transition from the ER to the inpatient setting.
To avoid needless travel, radiology services, lab services, and GI procedures are available on an outpatient basis.
The Weems Memorial Rehab program provides short term rehabilitative care in an in-patient setting. Rehabilitative services include physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy along with 24 hour nursing care and 24 hour in-house access to a physician.
Weems Ambulance Service, staffed by well-trained paramedics and EMTs, provides excellent pre-hospital care. A helipad is located on-campus to provide rapid transport by air ambulance when a ground ambulance just isn't fast enough.
Weems Medical Center East in Carrabelle and Weems Medical Center West in Apalachicola provide primary care and rotating specialty care services. For added convenience, walk-in appointments are available.
At George E. Weems Memorial Hospital, our mission is to improve the health status of the residents and visitors to Franklin County, by providing quality, compassionate, cost effective, and convenient health care through community leadership.

Based on the fact that the body is self-healing and that “everything” is proven to be manifestations of this intelligent energy, PureBioenergy restores and balances bioenergetic information to activate the body’s own innate healing mechanisms. Accessing this perfect, intelligent energy, awakens and strengthens the energetic potential of health within everybody. Based on the fact that the body is self-healing and that “everything” is proven to be manifestations of this intelligent energy, PureBioenergy restores and balances bioenergetic information to activate the body’s own innate healing mechanisms.Healing with PureBioenergy is PRECISE, highly STRUCTURED and unique in its SIMPLICITY.A handful of simple, yet powerful, techniques within step-by-step protocols eliminates the extraneous to directly address the process of healing. Everything required is built in. No previous training or special abilities are required. It’s a skill everyone can learn. In order to make bioenergy healing accessible to everyone to learn and be equally effective whether practiced by a housewife, a trucker, a scientist, a doctor or a diplomat, it is stripped of all the nonsense. Nothing remains that is not essential for optimal healing.
