DESCRIPTION:The Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries (FFCPL) announces a week filled with creativity\, connection\, and community at the Eastpoint and Carrabelle Branches of the Franklin County Public Libraries through  their popular Program Series. All library programs are free and open to the public with no library card required. Note: both library branches will be closed for Staff Development on Monday\, February 23. \n  \nA Tech Help session is scheduled for Tuesday\, February 24 at 11 AM at the Carrabelle Branch. Patrons may receive one-on-one assistance with devices\, email\, digital resources\, and more. No registration is required; drop-ins are welcome. \n  \nCreation Station: Make your own Comic Strip\, a program where children ages 7–12 can make a mini comic with their own heroes\, jokes\, and adventures\, will be held on Wednesday\, February 25 at 4:00 PM at the Carrabelle Branch. \n  \nGuests of all ages can celebrate Pokémon Day with a Pokémon Party on Friday\, February 27 at 3:30 pm at the Eastpoint Branch and 4:30pm at the Carrabelle Branch. Visitors can create their own Trainer Card\, complete fun challenges to earn a Trainer Certificate\, explore books and reading activities\, trade collectible cards with other trainers\, and enjoy light refreshments while playing. DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Franklin County Public Libraries invite everyone to a delicious and fun-filled Souper Celebration\, a Soup\, Bread\, and Book Sale Event on Saturday\, February 21\, 2026 at the Carrabelle Branch Library\, 311 St. James Avenue / Hwy 98\, Carrabelle\, FL. The general public is welcome from 10 am – 2 pm ET. Members of the Friends have exclusive early access to the soup sale starting at 9:30 am. Also new members\, renewing members and those donating can get a Friends tote bag. This fun celebration will offer local culture and art. This is a family friendly event and all are welcome. \n  \nThis annual event features delicious homemade soups\, freshly baked artisan breads and used books and DVDs. Local residents bring their delicious homemade soups from seafood bisques and gumbos to chili and Brunswick stew\, along with freshly baked breads. With dozens of soups ranging from exotic to healthy to old-fashioned\, visitors are encouraged to come early to get the best selection before they sell out. \n  \nThe Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries (FFCPL) is a 501(c)(3) organization. The funds raised from the Souper Celebrations help the Friends to support the Franklin County Public Libraries in Eastpoint and Carrabelle. This program celebrates the Year of the Dragon with a festive storytime full of sound\, color\, and creativity. Guests will experience a beautifully illustrated\, interactive eBook on the Smart Board\, brought to life with immersive sound effects from Novel Effect. After the story\, children can enjoy a hands‑on craft activity of all ages inspired by Lunar New Year traditions. \n  \nA Tech Class will be offered on Tuesday\, February 17 at 10:30 AM at the Eastpoint Branch. This hands-on tech class helps participants build digital confidence and learn how to get things done online. Registration is encouraged. \n  \nThe Writer’s Forum meets on Wednesday\, February 18 at 1 PM at the Eastpoint Branch. Attendees are welcome to share their work\, get inspired\, and connect with fellow writers. Writers of all genres and experience levels are invited. \n  \nAdult Crafternoon: Hanging Hand Towel takes place on Thursday\, February 19 at 2:30 PM at the Carrabelle Branch. Guests will sew a hand towel to a potholder at an easy\, relaxed hands-on lesson with a sewing machine. Open to adults of all skill levels. \n  \nA Video Game Hour will be held on Friday\, February 20 at 4:30 PM at the Carrabelle Branch. Teens and tweens are invited to unwind and compete on the Nintendo Switch. \n  \nThe Souper Celebration: Soup\, Bread & Book Sale happens Saturday\, February 21 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM  at the Carrabelle Branch. The workshop is free with all materials supplied and open to all adults. No library card is required. \n  \nAdults will enjoy this afternoon of creativity at this spooktacular program\, where they will create their very own Halloween-themed skeleton candles to take home. The program offers a fun and interactive way for adults to celebrate the Halloween season while engaging their creativity. \n  \nAdult Crafternoons\, held the 3rd Thursday each month at the Carrabelle Branch Library\,  are a great way to unwind\, connect with others\, and take home a handmade treasure.
