DESCRIPTION:The Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries (FFCPL) announces a week filled with creativity\, connection\, and community at the Eastpoint and Carrabelle Branches of the Franklin County Public Libraries through  their popular Program Series. Library programs are free and open to the public with no library card required. \n  \nA Tech Help session is scheduled for Tuesday\, March 10 at 11 AM at the Carrabelle Branch. Patrons may receive one-on-one assistance with devices\, email\, digital resources\, and more. No registration is required; drop-ins are welcome. \n  \nNovels & Nibbles: Book Club will meet on Tuesday\, March 10 from 12–1:30 PM at the Eastpoint Branch to discuss the month’s selection\, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larsson. Light refreshments will be served. \n  \nCreation Station: Make your own Volcano\, a program where children ages 7–12 can make a baking soda and vinegar volcano which will bubble\, fizz and explode with fun. The program will be held on Wednesday\, March 11 at 4:00 PM at the Eastpoint Branch. \n  \nAdult Crafternoon: Upcycled Bunny w/ Scrap Fabric will take place on Thursday\, March 12 at 2:30 PM at the Eastpoint Branch. At this workshop guests will be using a precut cardboard bunny and using scrap fabric to create a cute bunny. This easy hands-on program will be provided in a relaxed\, welcoming setting and is open to adults of all skill levels. \n  \nA Video Game Hour will be held on Friday\, March 13 at 4:30 PM at the Carrabelle Branch. Teens and tweens are invited to unwind and compete on the Nintendo Switch during this fun and casual gaming hour. \n  \nPI Day at the Library will be offered on Saturday\, March 14 at 1:00 PM at the Eastpoint Branch. Patrons will celebrate everyone’s favorite irrational number with a day full of math\, creativity\, and of course\, pie. DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Franklin County Public Libraries invite everyone to a delicious and fun-filled Souper Celebration\, a Soup\, Bread\, and Book Sale Event on Saturday\, February 21\, 2026 at the Carrabelle Branch Library\, 311 St. James Avenue / Hwy 98\, Carrabelle\, FL. The general public is welcome from 10 am – 2 pm ET. Members of the Friends have exclusive early access to the soup sale starting at 9:30 am. Also new members\, renewing members and those donating can get a Friends tote bag. This fun celebration will offer local culture and art. This is a family friendly event and all are welcome. \n  \nThis annual event features delicious homemade soups\, freshly baked artisan breads and used books and DVDs. Local residents bring their delicious homemade soups from seafood bisques and gumbos to chili and Brunswick stew\, along with freshly baked breads. With dozens of soups ranging from exotic to healthy to old-fashioned\, visitors are encouraged to come early to get the best selection before they sell out. \n  \nThe Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries (FFCPL) is a 501(c)(3) organization. The funds raised from the Souper Celebrations help the Friends to support the Franklin County Public Libraries in Eastpoint and Carrabelle. After the story\, children can enjoy a hands‑on craft activity of all ages inspired by Lunar New Year traditions. \n  \nA Tech Class will be offered on Tuesday\, February 17 at 10:30 AM at the Eastpoint Branch. This hands-on tech class helps participants build digital confidence and learn how to get things done online. Registration is encouraged. \n  \nThe Writer’s Forum meets on Wednesday\, February 18 at 1 PM at the Eastpoint Branch. Attendees are welcome to share their work\, get inspired\, and connect with fellow writers. SUMMARY:Franklin County Public Libraries Celebrate the “Color Our World”  Summer Reading Program
DESCRIPTION:The 2025 Summer Reading Program will burst onto the scene on Monday\, June 16 and continue through Thursday\, July 24 at both the Eastpoint and Carrabelle Branch Libraries.The program\, sponsored by the Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries\, will feature fun and imaginative activities and events for both kids and adults. Library programs are free and open to the public – no library card required. \n  \nThis year’s theme\, “Color Our World”\, focuses on art and creativity at the library. The program is designed to inspire and engage readers of all ages through a variety of artistic expressions. Guests are invited to celebrate every page\, paint stroke\, and performance that add a little more color to the world. \n  \nThe first week of the Summer Reading Program will be held June 16-20 at the Franklin County Public Libraries. Visitors are invited to festive Kick-off Parties on Monday\, June 16 at 11:00 AM ET at both library branches\, where they can explore the exciting lineup of upcoming events and participate in chalk art\, creative games\, and snacks. \n  \nWeek One (June 16th-20th)\n\n\, June 16 – Kickoff Parties w/ chalk art & games @11:00 am at both branches\n\, June 18 – Toddler Time: Color Sorting @ 10:30 am ET at both branches\n\, June 20 – Teen Button Making @ 10:30 am at Eastpoint and 2:30 pm at Carrabelle\n\n  \nSummer Reading is an annual program that brings children\, teens\, and families to local public libraries for reading and activities. A Summer Reading Program: \n\nencourages lifelong reading habits\,\nsupports reluctant readers with activities\,\nhelps children maintain their skills over the summer\,\ngenerates interest in the library and books\, and it being summer\,\ncan just be good fun and provide an opportunity for family time.\n\n  \nThe Summer Reading Program is sponsored by the Friends of the Franklin County Public Libraries\, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports the Franklin County Public Libraries in Eastpoint and Carrabelle\, FL. The Eastpoint Branch is located at 160 Hickory Dip Rd\, Eastpoint\, (850) 670-8151. The Carrabelle Branch Library is at 311 St. James Ave. SE (Hwy 98)\, Carrabelle\, (850) 275-9895.
