WILD & SCENIC FILM FESTIVAL

tn/image/calendar/tn/295.jpg

For 2010, the Apalachicola Riverkeeper is hosting the Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival (WSEFF) on Tour. The WSEFF is the largest environmental film festival in the U.S.  For 26 years the South Yuba River Citizens League, a grassroots environmental organization, has been bringing their community together around the protection of the Yuba Watershed.  Now touring the county and coming to Franklin County.

We show environmental and adventure films to illustrate the Earth’s beauty, the challenges facing our planet, and the work other communities are doing to protect the environment. Our goals, through the power of film, are to both inform people about the state of the world and inspire them to take action. The RiverFlix Film Series also raises resources and awareness for the Riverkeeper’s initiatives to protect the Apalachicola River and Bay.
