Decommisioned by the U.S. Coast Guard in 1995, the lighthouse has been restored and is an operating aid to navigation once again. An authentic replica of the keeper's house features both history and science exhibits as well as a gift shop. The park is a great place for a family picnic -or even a quick photo op and fun stop for road weary travelers. The 70 ft wooden ship " The Carabella" provides hours of fun and fantasy.
