11 AM (approx), tour of 8Gu10, Richardson's Hammock shell midden site (Middle Woodland burial mound and campsite, Fort Walton camp radiocarbon dated to A.D.1200; characteristic large-gastropod shell midden (horse conch [Pleuroploca gigantea] and lightning whelk [Busycon contrarium]). Park at entrance, walk into site (about 500 meters in dune sand)
