The Crooked River Lighthouse is excited to announce an extended Country “SUPER” Market on Saturday, October 5, from 9 am-3 pm at Crooked River Lighthouse Park, 1975 Hwy 98 W, Carrabelle, FL, at the foot of Carrabelle’s iconic lighthouse. There will be something for everyone, from market-fresh goods to unique nautical souvenirs and gifts from the Keeper’s House Gift Shop.
The Country “SUPER” Market will feature an array of local and regional vendors with a variety of gifts and goodies. Visitors can shop for fresh roasted coffee, delicious baked goods including breads, cakes and more, organic farm-fresh produce, fresh eggs, grass-fed beef, starter plants, handcrafted balms and sprays, regional art and photography, local crafts, custom bags, jewelry, decor items, clothing, pepper jelly, wildflower jellies, homemade salsa, pickled okra, hot sauce and more. Shoppers can also browse some unique nautical gifts inside the Keeper’s House gift shop.
Author and historian Robert Jacob will be joining from 9 am – 12 pm for a book signing and meet & greet. Robert has over 50 years experience in living history portrayals and is passionate about dispelling myths and inaccuracies found in historical records. He has written several books including A Pirate’s Life in the Golden Age of Piracy, Pirates of the Florida Coast: Truths, Legends, and Myths, and Blackbeard: The Truth Revealed.
While at the market, attendees can explore the museum and the historic 1894 Fresnel Lens exhibit. Museum admission is free, and donations are warmly accepted. For those seeking a breathtaking view of St. George Sound, the lighthouse tower climbs are available from 9 am to 5 pm for a cost of $6 for climbers 13 years or older and $3 for youth ages 5-12 years. All climbers must be 44 inches tall.
This family-friendly event is free, and visitors are encouraged to explore all the market and museum has to offer. Country Markets are regularly held on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturdays of each month from 9 am-1 pm. New and returning vendors are welcome to join at any time for a $10 fee per market.
